Drones with thermal imagers play an important role in the current weather in their area, detecting Starlink satellite communication terminals used by militants. This was announced on December 30 by the commander of the Vostok military group's UAV platoon with the call sign Bilbo.
"The weather and the time of the year are such that drones with thermal imaging cameras are playing a big role now. A lot of heat is emitted by both a person and the enemy's means of communication - this is Starlink and so on," he said in a video by the Russian Defense Ministry.
