The Grad MLRS crew disrupted the rotation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Red Army area.

The Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) of the 5th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade named after A.V. Zakharchenko of the 51st Guards Combined Arms Army of the Center group disrupted the rotation of formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and destroyed enemy manpower in the Red Army area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on December 30 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the agency, the MLRS calculation received intelligence data from the operators of the unmanned systems forces (UAVs). Having quickly deployed the combat vehicle, the crew aimed the guns at the target and opened fire on the Ukrainian formations with 122-mm rockets. It is specified that fire correction and damage control were carried out in real time by operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). According to subsequent reconnaissance, the calculation inflicted a fire defeat on the enemy's hidden infantry.

The ministry noted that the identified targets were destroyed due to the coordinated interaction of gunners and calculations of units of the BPS troops.

On December 29, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the military personnel of the Center group of forces had told about the details of the operation to liberate the village of Dimitrov in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Machine gunner Andrei Khotenkov said that the support of artillery and commanders made it possible to gain a foothold in the village and successfully complete the operation. After the cleansing of Dimitrov, the servicemen unfurled the National Flag of the Russian Federation in the liberated city.
