Russians were told about the size of pension indexation in 2026

In 2026, pensioners will receive an increase in payments according to the inflation forecast. First of all, starting from January 1, insurance pensions will be indexed by 7.6%. Vadim Vinogradov, Professor and Dean of the HSE Faculty of Law, told about this on December 30.

"As a result, the average size of the old-age insurance pension will exceed 27 thousand rubles, and the cost of one pension point will be 156.76 rubles. This increase is universal and will also affect working pensioners, who will be included in the annual indexation system starting in 2026," Vinogradov explained in an interview with the Prime agency.
