The unexpected invasion of wild boars on the runway of the Spanish airport of La Coruna led to a complete shutdown of its operation. This was reported on December 27 by the newspaper Euro Weekly News.
"Several wild boars violated the airport's boundaries and began running along the runway, which led to the temporary closure of the airport for security reasons," the material says.
It is specified that the airport remained closed for almost two hours until the authorities successfully drove away the wild boars. Exactly how the wild animals were able to get through the wire fencing the airport is still unknown.
On October 25, Reuters reported on the suspension of the Vilnius airport due to the appearance of balloons in the sky. According to the newspaper, these balloons belong to smugglers, they carry cigarettes.
