The Russian Defense Ministry told about the repulse of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on Putin's residence

The Air Defense Forces repelled an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) using 91 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod region. This was announced on December 29 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"In the period from December 28 to December 29, air defense systems of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation repelled a terrorist attack by the Kiev regime using 91 unmanned aerial vehicles on the presidential residence," the Telegram channel said.

It is specified that 49 UAVs were eliminated over the territory of the Bryansk region, another drone was destroyed in the sky over the Smolensk region and 41 drones over the Novgorod region.

The drone can detect targets, being invulnerable to many air defense systems.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said earlier in the day that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had carried out a drone attack on the residence of the Russian president in the Novgorod region. He noted that the negotiating position of the Russian Federation will be reviewed due to the attack, but Moscow will not withdraw from the negotiation process.

On December 29, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky refused to acknowledge Kiev's involvement in the drone attack on the Russian leader's residence, adding that Ukraine was working with the United States to bring the conflict closer to resolution.
