Putin warned Trump about the responsibility for the attack on the residence
Russian President Vladimir Putin has told US President Donald Trump that an attempted attack by the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a state residence in the Novgorod region will not go unanswered. This was announced on December 29 by Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
"We have clearly stated that such reckless terrorist actions, of course, will not remain without the most serious response," Ushakov told reporters.
According to the presidential aide, Putin drew Donald Trump's attention to the fact that the terrorist attack involving the massive use of drones occurred immediately after the American side considered the next round of negotiations successful.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said earlier in the day that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had carried out a drone attack on the residence of the Russian president in the Novgorod region. He noted that Russia's negotiating position will be reviewed due to the attack, but the Russian Federation will not withdraw from the negotiation process.
Zelensky, in turn, refused to acknowledge Kiev's involvement in the attack on Putin's residence and said that Kiev was working with Washington to bring the conflict closer to resolution.
