- Lavrov: the targets of the retaliatory strike after the attack on Putin's residence have been identified
Russia has determined the targets and time of the retaliatory strike after the drone attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the state residence of President Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod region. This was announced on December 29 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"The targets for retaliatory strikes and the time of their delivery by the Russian Armed Forces have been determined," Lavrov said.
The Russian Foreign Minister said that on the night of December 28-29, 2025, Ukrainian forces launched an attack using 91 attack drones on the presidential residence. All drones were destroyed by air defense systems, and no injuries or damage were reported.
Lavrov noted that the attack occurred during intensive negotiations between Russia and the United States on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. He stressed that such actions will not go unanswered, but Russia does not intend to withdraw from the negotiation process with the United States. At the same time, according to him, Russia's negotiating position will be reviewed in connection with the transition of the Kiev regime to a policy of state terrorism.\
On the same day, in the Krasnodar Territory, UAV debris fell on the territory of an industrial enterprise. As a result, there was a fire.
