A new exit was opened from Yurlovo in Khimki near Moscow
In Khimki (Moscow region) The workers' movement was opened at a new exit from the village of Yurlovo. The regional Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure announced this on Monday, December 29.
The length of the new exit was 4.5 km. A four-lane road will connect Pyatnitskoye Highway with a future backup, and provide access to the large residential complex Pyatnitsky Luga.
"As part of the project, a 700-meter-long section of Pyatnitskoye Highway has been reconstructed. A single—level roundabout has been set up at the junction with the highway, and culverts across the Banka River have been installed at the exit towards the village of Fedorovka," said Marat Sibatulin, head of the ministry.
According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, the main construction works that started in early 2023 have already been completed. The road workers also installed noise barriers, traffic lights, road signs and lighting.
In 2026, it is planned to complete the construction of a bike path on the new road. In addition, it is necessary to complete the above-ground pedestrian crossing near the residential complexes Pyatnitsky Luga and Yurlovo, as well as put two public transport stops in order and install two more new pavilions in the residential area of Yurlovo.
The Ministry of Transport notes that in 2026, plans also include the opening of traffic on the backup of the Pyatnitskoye highway.
The completion of the first stage of construction of the backup of the Pyatnitskoye highway was announced this fall. According to the project, the stand—in will have four lanes, the estimated speed on the new section is up to 120 km/h. The road will end in the village of Strelino near Solnechnogorsk, behind the M-11 highway. It is assumed that the new highway will make it possible to unload the most difficult section and reduce travel time for motorists.
