A man was injured in a car collision on the Kola highway near Murmansk.

In the Kola district of the Murmansk region, a man was injured as a result of a car collision on a tangent. This is reported by the Department of Public Health and Safety of the region.

The accident occurred on Monday afternoon, December 29, on the 1349th km of the federal highway R-21 "Cola". The Peugeot 407 and LADA Vesta cars collided tangentially, but the impact sent the Vesta flying off the road into a ditch and tipped over on its side.

One person was injured in the accident. According to the Bi-port news agency, he was hospitalized. The circumstances of the collision are being established by traffic police officers.

Earlier in the day, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Interior Ministry told Izvestia that 508 road accidents occurred on the country's roads in the last weekend of 2025, resulting in 80 deaths and 667 injuries. Among the dead, 71 people were drivers and passengers.
