A plasma cloud ejected into outer space as a result of two strong solar flares may reach Earth on the night of December 31 to January 1. This was announced on December 29 at the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the IKI RAS.
"As a result of the flares, a medium—sized plasma cloud was ejected into space, which will take about three days to travel from the Sun to the Earth and which, as a result, will be able to touch the planet with the edge on the night of January 31 and 1," the Telegram channel says.
