Warming will bring a cyclone from the Krasnoyarsk Territory to Yakutia
In Yakutia, warming is predicted in the first days of the new year. In the central regions, including Yakutsk, the temperature will drop to -44 degrees at night. On the afternoon of January 2, they are already promising about -30 degrees, which is significantly higher than normal.
As Tatyana Marshalik, deputy head of the Yakut UGMS, explained to YakutiaMedia news agency, the cyclone will leave the Krasnoyarsk Territory for Yakutia on the night of January 1. It's getting warmer and snowing in the west of the republic.
New Year's Eve will be still cold in the central regions, and the temperature will start to rise during the day. The warmest day will be on January 2, when the daytime air temperature will be in the range of 28-32 degrees Celsius. Then the wind will pick up and the temperature will drop.
Now, as the agency notes, in Yakutia at night the thermometer drops to -46 degrees, and in the afternoon it rises to -40 degrees.
Earlier it was reported that the night of January 2 will be the coldest during the New Year holidays: the temperature in Moscow is expected to be -14 ...-16 degrees, in places in the region — up to -19 degrees. Atlantic cyclones will arrive in the region throughout the week, which will keep the pressure very low.
