Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law allowing Russian citizens to establish a self-ban on gambling from September 1, 2026. The relevant document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on December 29.

Starting from September 2026, the law will provide Russians with the opportunity to establish a self-ban on gambling in bookmakers, sweepstakes, casinos and slot machine halls.
