In the Chelyabinsk region, law enforcement agencies detained the ex-deputy head of the operational investigative unit of their own security (ORCHSB) of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs for bribery. This was announced on December 29 by the press service of the Investigative Committee for the region.

It is indicated that the crime was discovered by employees of the regional directorate of the FSB of Russia together with the Department of Emergency Situations of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Chelyabinsk region.

"A criminal case has been opened against the former deputy head of the operational investigative unit of the Internal Security Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region. He is suspected of committing a crime under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving a particularly large bribe"), the Telegram channel says.

It is specified that the person involved received funds from the entrepreneur totaling at least 1.8 million rubles.

According to the investigation, the funds were transferred for informing the businessman about the planned investigative measures against him, as well as for advising on protection when interacting with law enforcement agencies.

On December 23, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow chose a preventive measure in the form of detention against Gennady Sakharov, the former director of the structural division of the Rosatom state Corporation. He is accused of taking a particularly large bribe.
