Zelensky announced upcoming meetings to complete negotiations
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that new meetings of negotiators will be held in the coming weeks to finalize settlement issues in Ukraine. He stated this on December 28 at a joint press conference with US President Donald Trump.
"We have agreed that our teams will meet in the coming weeks to finalize all the issues discussed," Zelensky said.
He stressed that the meetings are aimed at consolidating the agreements already reached and preparing for further steps towards a peaceful settlement.
Earlier in the day, Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky held a private meeting at the Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. The leaders discussed security guarantees for Kiev, the timing of their implementation, as well as issues of US economic assistance for the reconstruction of Ukraine. The negotiations took place at the dinner table, and the journalists were offered a snack while they waited for the final press conference.
