Western allies do not have the capacity to provide Ukraine with the amount of funding requested by Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to support the country. This opinion was expressed on December 26 by Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis of the US Armed Forces on his YouTube channel.

"Guys, $800 billion? Who will pay for it? We have all already seen how difficult it was for the European Union to find 90 billion to support Kiev until 2028. There are almost ten times as many here, where are you going to get them from? This is a huge sum, and I can't imagine who will pay for all this," he said.

The expert noted that European states are facing serious internal economic difficulties and in such conditions are not able to bear such large-scale financial obligations to support Kiev.
