Lavrov noted Iran's maximum endurance in the face of provocations
Iran shows maximum restraint and openness to dialogue despite Western blackmail. This was announced on December 28 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov following the results of 2025.
"We note that the Iranians show maximum restraint and respond to all provocations and blackmail from the West with openness to dialogue in order to find ways of a political settlement of the remaining contradictions," the minister told TASS.
It was noted that in 2025, five rounds of negotiations between Iran and the United States on the nuclear issue ended in vain due to the start of the Israeli military operation and attacks by the American armed forces on Iranian facilities.
Earlier, on December 17, it was reported that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that the United States was trampling on international law and imposing the "law of the jungle" in an attempt to achieve a peace beneficial exclusively to them. According to him, Washington believes that countries with greater power can impose their conditions on other states through coercion, while weak countries find themselves in a position of subordination.
