The regime of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and his European supervisors are not ready for constructive negotiations. This was stated on December 28 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview following the results of 2025.

"We note that the Zelensky regime and its European curators are not ready for constructive negotiations," Lavrov told TASS.

He also added that "the Kiev regime is terrorizing civilians, carrying out sabotage against the civilian infrastructure of our country."

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Russia intends to continue working with the United States to develop sustainable agreements aimed at eliminating the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict. Lavrov noted the value of the efforts of US President Donald Trump and his team in achieving a peaceful settlement.
