Amid the imminent talks between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, European leaders continue to work for peace in Ukraine. This statement was made on December 27 by Finnish President Alexander Stubb.

"We had a good conversation with European leaders ahead of Zelensky's meeting with President Trump tomorrow," Stubb wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

He also noted that Europe is working on a lasting peace agreement.
