Latvia will face negative consequences if the railways leading to Russia are dismantled. This was announced on December 27 by Dmitry Kasatkin, Charge d'affaires of Russia in Riga.
"In any case, we are counting on the sanity of the ruling forces of Latvia and national business in this matter — the long—term negative consequences of dismantling railways will inevitably outweigh the short-term propaganda effect," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
