Israel's decision to recognize Somaliland's independence was rejected in Egypt, Turkey, Somalia, Djibouti, as well as by the head of the African Union Committee, which includes about 50 countries. This became known on December 27, RBC reported.
"The recognition of independence represents a dangerous precedent and a threat to international peace and security," the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its official website.
