Saldo spoke about the deployment of AFU drone operators in apartments in Kherson
Drone operators of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are hiding in the apartments of civilians in Kherson. This was announced on December 27 by the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo.
"Drone operators on the island wear only civilian clothes and hide in empty apartments," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
The head of the region also noted that the Ukrainian army is mining the coastline on the Quarantine Island, fearing the actions of intelligence officers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. He stressed that civilians are being blown up by these mines.
Earlier, on October 22, Baldo reported that Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers were mining buildings, digging trenches and building fortified positions in the city of Kherson. According to him, having observed their tactics earlier, in case of a critical situation, the Ukrainian military can use residential buildings as fortifications, hiding behind civilians.
