Irina Rodnina, a Soviet figure skater, three-time Olympic champion in pair skating (1972, 1976, 1980) and a State Duma deputy from the United Russia party, said that she had never been interested in obtaining American citizenship. This was reported on December 27 by the Sport24 agency.
