North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has sent a congratulatory letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the upcoming New Year. This was reported on December 27 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
"On the occasion of the New Year 2027, on behalf of the Government of the DPRK and the Korean people, I extend my warmest and most sincere greetings to you, and through you to the Government of the Russian Federation and the fraternal Russian people," the document says.
The head of the DPRK noted the further strengthening of bilateral relations between the states and called this alliance sincere and indestructible.
"Relations between the two countries have further strengthened, turning into the most sincere alliance, <...> and its absolute strength and strength are even more clearly imprinted on the pages of time and history," he said.
Kim Jong-un added that "now no one can break the bond" between the Russian and Korean people.
Earlier, on December 24, Putin, in a New Year's message addressed to Kim Jong-un, emphasized the heroism of Korean soldiers in liberating the Kursk region and the strength of friendship between the Russian Federation and the DPRK. The congratulatory message also notes the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
Earlier, on December 17, Putin noted the valiant actions of the DPRK military personnel in the Kursk region and stressed that by decision of the Chairman of the State Affairs of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, they were sent to participate in the liberation of the region.
