Euractiv learned about Europe's plans in January to inform Kiev about security guarantees

In January 2026, representatives of the European Union (EU) countries want to convey to Ukraine a clear understanding of security guarantees in support of the Kiev regime. This was reported on December 26 by the Euractiv news website, citing a source at the Elysee Palace.

"French President Emmanuel Macron wants the so-called coalition of the willing to finalize the details of support for Ukraine next month. It is expected that the guarantees will be resolved promptly, which will give Ukraine a clear idea of what long—term support will look like," the publication says.
