Vladimir Okunev, the former deputy governor and Minister of Transport of the Rostov Region, was arrested in absentia for two months. This was reported on December 26 in the joint press service of the courts of the region.

"By the decision of the Leninsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don dated December 26, 2025, Vladimir Vladimirovich Okunev was given a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months from the moment of his actual detention," TASS quoted the text of the statement.

It is noted that the measure of restraint for Okunev was chosen in absentia.
