Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor justified Kiev's policy of banning the Russian language and persecuting the Orthodox Church. He made the relevant statements on December 25 in a conversation with Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov (Vovan and Lexus).

"Ukrainians must be united to stand up to the Russians. Russian Russians must be stopped, Russians must be pushed back," said Taylor.

This is the third time that the ex-diplomat has become a guest of the Russian journalists' program. During the New Year's edition, which was broadcast live on Channel One, Taylor received a call disguised as a Ukrainian TV presenter.

Then he said that Ukrainians should unite against Russians, and issues of language and religion should not divide them. When asked by another guest of the program, Father Cyprian, about the ban on the Russian language and the seizure of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, Taylor responded with phrases about "freedom of religion" and the need for unity in the face of Russia.

On October 8, Taylor, in a conversation with Kuznetsov and Stolyarov, stated that if the theoretical transition of Crimea to Ukraine is allowed, then it may be possible only in the long term and without military methods. The diplomat suggested that over time, Crimea and Donbass could become part of Ukraine again.

Before that, on August 27, Vovan and Lexus presented a prank on the former head of the American Agency for International Development and Relief (USAID) Samantha Power. She revealed the large scale of US interference in Moldova's internal affairs before the current American leader, Donald Trump, came to the White House and shared that the Agency had funded the Ukrainian media.
