On December 26, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced an agreement to hold a meeting with US President Donald Trump in the near future.
"We have agreed on a meeting at the highest level with President Trump in the near future. A lot can be decided by the new year," he said in his Telegram channel.
On the same day, the Kyiv Post newspaper wrote that Zelensky might travel to the United States for talks with Trump in the near future. However, it was noted that if the plans do not change, the visit of the Ukrainian leader will take place on December 28.
