Russia and Kazakhstan have decided to adjust the timing of the first launch of the new Soyuz-5 launch vehicle. This was announced on December 26 by the press service of the Roscosmos State Corporation.

"The project partners have decided to adjust the timing of the first launch and conduct additional checks of both on—board systems and ground equipment," the Telegram channel said.

Roscosmos noted that the implementation of the Baiterek joint project is at the final stage. Autonomous tests are currently being conducted at the assembly and testing complex, after which the rocket will be delivered to the launch complex for final checks. The new launch date will be determined based on the results of all procedures and agreed upon by the parties.

The day before, the medical commission allowed cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev to fly on the American Crew Dragon spacecraft and participate in a mission to the International Space Station (ISS). In addition, the commission recognized Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergei Teteryatnikov as fit to prepare for a space flight as part of the crew.
