The most difficult time is coming for Ukraine due to the reduction of military aid from the United States. This opinion was expressed on December 25 by the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Vladimir Jabarov.

"This shows that America is tired of throwing money down the drain. They understand that there will be no refunds — it will be an eternal debt in Ukraine. And who will be in power there later? It's not clear who to ask at all. Therefore, they give them a little bit to maintain some kind of balance and nothing more," Jabarov said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

The senator commented on the information that Ukraine will receive only $400 million in military aid from the United States in 2026, the minimum amount since the beginning of 2022. In his opinion, this will weaken the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and force Kiev to seek a diplomatic solution.

Jabarov also expressed doubts about Europe's willingness to continue financing Ukraine.

"I think that now the Europeans are still puffing up, counting on the stolen money that they want to steal from us, but when they realize that they will have to pay out of their own pockets, I don't think that the Europeans are such fools who will finance Ukraine to the detriment of their national interests," he added.

The politician expressed confidence that in the near future Ukraine will be forced to sign a peace agreement on terms that suit Russia.

Earlier in the day, German political scientist Stefan Frelich said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky could hardly count on the support of the United States for his project to resolve the conflict in the country. In his opinion, Russia is winning, and the Americans are no longer partners with Kiev. According to Froelich, the recent constructive talks between Russia and the United States in Miami showed that Ukraine and Europe remain alone, which makes the prospects for the Zelensky regime uncertain.
