At a meeting with business leaders, Russian President Vladimir Putin called for a fair resolution of the dispute between marketplaces and banks. This was announced on December 25 by Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).

"The President called for friendship, seeking fair solutions based on fair competition. And the head of the Central Bank [Elvira Nabiullina] confirmed that she also advocates finding a balance of interests," Shokhin said in an interview with TASS.
