The Second Western District Military Court sentenced Evgenia Konforkina, a resident of Lyubertsy near Moscow, to 15 years in prison, accused of treason and participation in a terrorist organization. This was reported on December 25 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
The state prosecution petitioned for 18 years in prison. The convict was also fined 300 thousand rubles.
The woman was detained in October 2024. According to investigators, she joined the terrorist organization Freedom of Russia Legion (the organization is recognized as terrorist and banned in the Russian Federation) and photographed military facilities on the instructions of the curator.
Earlier, on November 24, a resident of the Kamensk-Dneprovsky district of the Zaporizhia region was sentenced to 16 years for treason. He transmitted information about the deployment of the Rosgvardiya unit in Energodar to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
