The number of fatal accidents involving children has increased in the Sverdlovsk region

From January to November 2025, 14 children died in road accidents in the Sverdlovsk region. This is one and a half times more than in the same period of 2024.

A total of 338 accidents involving minors were registered. 365 children were injured, writes the news agency " <url>".

The head of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the region, Alexei Spiridonov, noted that every seventh victim on the roads is a child. He urged parents to ensure that children wear retroreflective elements. They allow drivers to spot pedestrians at a distance of 150-200 m.

In the first half of 2025, the number of accidents involving child pedestrians on Russian roads decreased by 4.6% compared to the same period in 2024.
