Festive decorations have been completed on the Old Arbat as part of the city's Winter in Moscow project. According to the organizers of the Moscow Seasons, preparations began in the summer: specialists led by designer Maria German hand-made many artificial tangerines, which became a key element of the winter decor of one of the oldest streets in the capital.

The central installation was the art composition "tangerine tree" with an arch symbolizing the entrance to the festive space. Snow-covered fir trees in pots with soft lighting and decorative tangerines are placed along the street, forming a light rhythm. The design is complemented by installations in the form of carousels, referring to the traditions of New Year's fairs. An interactive element is a scale showing the weight of visitors in tangerines, which, according to the authors, makes the walk fun. The orange-light palette is designed to visually warm up the winter urban landscape.

According to Maria German, this winter the Old Arbat has turned into a warm urban space filled with light and the feeling of a New Year's miracle. The designer explained that the concept of "Tangerine Mood" is inspired by childhood memories of the New Year — "simple, sincere and truly joyful." At the same time, the main symbol of the project, the mandarin, became, as she notes, the emotional code of the whole idea, combining the expectation of a holiday, comfort and nostalgia.

A separate point of attraction was the giant mandarin art pavilion of the Made in Moscow project, where household goods, Christmas decorations, tableware and souvenirs are presented.

Other urban spaces have also been transformed as part of the "Winter in Moscow". The square near the Bolshoi Theater is decorated in the style of the ballet "The Nutcracker", the Russian State Library has an open-air reading room, and the entrance to the Moscow Zoo has been decorated with an installation with vertical landscaping. The organizers note that these locations form a single festive ecosystem for residents and guests of the capital.
