- In Thailand, a Russian from Blagoveshchensk was placed in jail for being late for work
Sergey Litvinenko, a resident of Blagoveshchensk, who worked in Thailand as an English and physical education teacher, was fired for being late and is in isolation. This was announced on December 25 by Svetlana Sherstoboeva, a volunteer and representative of the Russian community in Thailand.
"He was fired and his work visa is being cancelled. And he immediately becomes an illegal immigrant in the country. In order for him to become "legal", he needs to get to the border. He was going to Bangkok, to the airport, obviously, in order to make a border crossing, for example, to Vietnam <...> He gets to the police station, that's it, there is no way back," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
