Diamonds in the shape of a puppy and a Christmas tree toy were mined in Arkhangelsk
At a deposit in Arkhangelsk, diamond miners from the Severalmaz factory extracted two diamonds in the form of a Christmas tree toy and an animal. This was announced on December 25 in the Telegram channel of the diamond mining company Alrosa.
It is noted that the diamond in the shape of a Christmas ball has a weight of more than 17 carats, while the second crystal resembling a puppy is 2.7 carats.
Ilya Zezin, Chief Geologist at Severalmaz, clarified that the company is notable for its finds of precious stones of rare shapes and colors, which are not only of scientific interest, but also aesthetic.
On November 18, two unique diamonds weighing 55.96 and 135.75 carats were mined at the V. Grib deposit in the Arkhangelsk region. The crystals found became the third and fourth samples of particularly large size extracted this year. Such specimens are characterized by impeccable purity, high transparency and expressive natural shape.
