A humanitarian convoy from Dagestan came under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area, the head of the republic, Sergei Melikov, said on December 25.

As a result, the deputy head of the Shamil district, from where the cargo was sent, as well as two representatives of the public organization "Self-Defense" were killed. Another male escort was injured and taken to a medical facility.
