At least nine people have been killed and 21 injured in India after a passenger bus collided with a truck in the southern state of Karnataka. This was reported on December 25 by the Hindustan Times newspaper.

It is noted that after the accident, the bus carrying 32 people caught fire. Many passengers were asleep at the time of the accident, so people did not have time to get out of the burning vehicle.

According to preliminary data, a truck traveling in the opposite direction suddenly crossed the dividing line and collided head-on with a bus. An investigation into the tragedy has been launched.

At least 15 people were killed and 19 injured on December 22 in a bus accident on a section of the Transjawan Toll Road near the port city of Semarang in Indonesia. It was established that the bus was traveling on the route Jakarta – Yogyakarta. Moving at high speed, the driver collided with a road fence, after which the vehicle overturned.
