Flight from St. Petersburg to Yakutsk landed at Vnukovo due to malfunction
The Yakutia Airlines flight, which took off from St. Petersburg to Yakutsk, was forced to land at Vnukovo Airport due to a malfunction. This was announced on December 25 by the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office in the Telegram channel.
"According to preliminary data, on 12/24/2025, the Yakutia Airlines aircraft operating the YAK-488 flight from St. Petersburg to Yakutsk landed safely at the Vnukovo alternate airfield due to a technical malfunction," the statement said.
It is noted that the technical condition of the aircraft is currently being assessed.
The Transport Prosecutor's Office has initiated a flight safety check on this fact.
An Airbus A320 plane flying from Dubai to Yekaterinburg on December 22 made an emergency landing in Ashgabat with the engine turned off. After landing, the preparation of a backup board was started to continue the flight of passengers to their destination.
