- In the course of the study, the preferences of Russians in Christmas decorations became known.
More than 60% of Russians keep Soviet toys of the 20th century, while 19% decorate the Christmas tree exclusively with "antique" decorations, and 45% combine toys from different periods. This became known on December 25 from the results of a survey conducted by the National Payment Card System (NSPK), which I reviewed. "Газета.Ru ".
"Most often, customers pay attention to design, price, and quality when choosing Christmas tree toys. A little less often, the choice of a particular toy depends on the color scheme, material, or theme. As a rule, the brand or the country of origin does not play a role in the selection, rather they choose for originality," said Anastasia Borisova, head of the NSPK Marketing Research Center.
At the same time, 24% of Russians use only modern toys for decoration, 3% choose non-standard decorations, and 9% do not decorate the Christmas tree at all. Among those who prefer 20th—century toys, the majority (86%) inherited them, 6% purchased them in vintage specialty stores, and 13% in regular stores; another 8% received jewelry as a gift.
It is noted that 42% of Russians prefer a mixed style, 26% use old and Soviet aesthetics, 25% adhere to classical traditions, and 18% choose minimalism and monochrome jewelry. In addition, 10% change their design style from year to year.
It was clarified that the survey was conducted among 2,000 Russians.
Earlier, on December 23, it was reported that some elements of the New Year's decor may pose a danger to pets. Pet owners were advised to buy small Christmas trees that can be placed on a table, windowsill or in another hard-to-reach place.
