Russian journalist and media manager Irena Lesnevskaya has passed away at the age of 83. This was announced on December 24 by journalist Marianna Maksimovskaya on the social network Facebook (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

It is noted that the REN-TV channel, which she once created, was named after Lesnevskaya. Her fellow journalists on the information and analytical program "Nedelya" owe her a lot, Maksimovskaya added.
