Pavel Durov announced Macron's intention to turn the EU into a digital GULAG
Due to the low support rating, French President Emmanuel Macron is using censorship to suppress critics and turn the entire European Union (EU) into a digital GULAG. This was announced on December 24 by Pavel Durov, entrepreneur and founder of the Telegram messenger, on the social network X.
"The architect of the EU censorship law, which has been sanctioned, is a close ally and Macron appointee. Faced with extremely low approval ratings, Macron is trying to silence online critics by turning the entire EU into a digital GULAG - through censorship (DSA) and mass surveillance (Chat Control)," he said.
Earlier, the United States imposed an entry ban on European activists involved in EU attempts to censor American social platforms.
A day earlier, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), joked about the ban on entry to the United States for Ursula von der Leyen, head of the European Commission (EC), and suggested that she exchange sanctions. The message was a response to the post of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio about the State Department's intention to take steps to ban "leading figures of the global censorship and industrial complex" from entering the country.
