The Russian Federation will legislate the raising of the Russian flag at physical education events.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed to legislate the need to raise the Russian flag at official physical education and sports events. The corresponding decree was published on the Kremlin's official website on December 23.

"To ensure the introduction of amendments to the legislation of the Russian Federation providing for <...> the raising (establishment) of The State flag of the Russian Federation during official physical education events and sports competitions," the text of the document says.
