A St. Petersburg teacher accused of molesting two schoolchildren has been released from custody. This was reported on December 24 by a source of Izvestia.
According to the source, the detention was replaced by a written undertaking not to leave.
The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF) Alexander Bastrykin instructed the teacher to consider the issue of changing the preventive measure a day earlier.
The Vyborg District Court of St. Petersburg remanded the suspect in custody on December 18. It was clarified that the girl was accused of committing a crime under Part 5 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violent acts of a sexual nature"). She did not admit her guilt.
