On December 24, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, held a meeting of the commission on recruiting contract soldiers for the Armed Forces of Russia.
"Today, about 417 thousand people have signed a contract for military service. In addition, more than 36,000 citizens joined volunteer formations and went to the special military operation zone," Medvedev said, posting a video of the meeting on his Telegram channel.
