Three-time European champion, Norwegian biathlete Sivert Bakken was one of the main talents of Norwegian biathlon. This was announced on December 24 by five-time Olympic champion Norwegian biathlete Johannes Boe.

"He was one of the main talents in Norwegian biathlon. He always smiled and had good words. <... > His main goal in life was to become one of the best biathletes in the world, and he achieved this," the NRK radio company quoted him as saying.

According to the athlete, Bakken had a huge potential for career development, which would help him achieve success in biathlon.
