Tula residents have donated more than 21 thousand liters of blood since the beginning of 2025

Since the beginning of 2025, about 9 thousand residents of the Tula Region have become donors of blood and its components. Of these, more than 2,000 people donated blood for the first time.

In just a year, doctors managed to collect over 21 thousand liters of blood. This amount is necessary to provide medical facilities in the region every year, writes TSN24 with reference to the regional Ministry of Health.

The department recalled that you can donate blood when you reach the age of 18, after passing a medical examination. In addition, the body weight should be at least 50 kg.

Blood is taken at inpatient blood service facilities and during field donation campaigns.

The agency recalls that in June, a donation campaign was held in Tula, during which 232 people donated about 90 liters of blood. They were timed to coincide with World Donor Day.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova noted at the XVII All-Russian Blood Service Forum that the number of donors in Russia has increased by 30% over the past five years.
