Two crime bosses from Balashikha have been detained in Moscow for extortion.
Two crime bosses from the Moscow suburb of Balashikha, Ravil Myasoutov and Alexander Yemelyanov, were detained in Moscow for extortion, a source told Izvestia on December 24.
The bandits tried to extort 25 million rubles from the businessman. The capital's court is scheduled to decide on a preventive measure for him on Wednesday. Myasoutov is known for having taken over the whole of Balashikha in the 90s. The other, Alexander Yemelyanov, was previously convicted of murder.
Myasoutov was the leader of Balashikha's most influential organized criminal group in the 1990s. Then he managed to take control of almost the entire business in the city and make sure that the merchants did not complain about him to the police. The authority constantly evaded criminal punishment and, in addition, was the "right hand" of the thief in law Alexander Zakharov ("Zakhara"), who oversaw all gangs near Moscow.
Yemelyanov, also known as "Schultz," was a lower-ranking member of the Balashikha hierarchy. In 2008, he abducted and killed his ex-fiancee. The bandit harassed and threatened the girl's family for a long time after the chosen one rejected him in connection with criminal activities. He served time in a penal colony.
On November 22, the capital's Main Directorate of the Rosgvardiya reported that representatives of the Stolitsa Special Rapid Response Unit (SOBR) had detained criminals in Moscow who abducted veterans of a special military operation (SVO) in order to extort money. The car with the bandits was stopped right on the road. A source told Izvestia that members of this gang not only abducted, but also tortured veterans, as well as threatened their families.
