US President Donald Trump made actor Sylvester Stallone laugh at the award ceremony for services to culture with a joke that "you won't get help from Sly." This was reported on December 24 by The Economic Times (TET) newspaper.

"When I needed help, I knew I shouldn't go to Sly. He wouldn't have been there. But after this evening, he will come (to the rescue — Ed.)," Trump's words are quoted in the publication.

Stallone was among the actors and musicians whom Trump awarded the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in 2025.
