- In the course of the study, Russians talked about the budget allocation for the New Year
Most Russians plan to finance New Year's Eve celebrations with their December salaries, while almost one in seven puts aside funds for the holiday during the year. Such data was obtained on December 24 from a study by the microcredit company A Money.
"The main source of financing for the winter holiday for the majority (gifts, groceries, leisure) is December income (52.2%). One in four (27%) tries not to "spend too much" on New Year's activities, while 14.8% save up for the holiday throughout the year. 6% said they could resort to borrowed money or the help of family and friends for New Year's spending," the study notes, the results of which were reviewed by RIA Novosti.
According to the data, one in three respondents (34.5%) plans to spend the same amount on the celebration as last year, and 30.3% intend to increase the budget, including to arrange "the best holiday."
It is noted that another 8.3% said they would buy everything at will, and 26.9% plan to optimize costs. 68.7% of Russians value family warmth and relaxation during the holiday, 47.6% consider the New Year as an occasion to please their loved ones, and 21% spare no expense for the holiday. 16.9% say rest is the main thing, while 10.7% associate a holiday with stress.
Also, 3.8% of respondents identified the possibility of profitable purchases at sales as the main advantage of the holiday.
Earlier, on December 23, it was reported that more than half of Russians are already using or planning to use services based on artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to generate greetings, search for gifts and recipes for the New Year holidays. It was noted that 63% of Russians use AI to generate greetings.
