Fraudsters have come up with a new scheme to steal passport data and SNILS of Russians under the pretext of obtaining a pass to the military enlistment office to appear, allegedly for the purpose of digitizing data. This became known on December 24 from the materials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

It is noted that the victim receives a call from a fraudster who introduces himself as an employee of the military enlistment office. The scammer informs the victim about the need to appear to digitize the data, after which he reports on the closed operation of the facility, which requires a summons or a pass.

To issue a "pass", the fraudster asks you to dictate the passport series and number, indicate who issued the document, and also name the SNILS number. After receiving the information, the attacker hangs up the phone.
